Friday Foodie: ThaiTanium

This one is short, folks. ThaiTanium is a new Thai (obviously) restaurant on Mass Ave, replacing what used to be Cropichon et Bidibule, which I totally reviewed back in the day before it’s untimely, but totally predictable demise. I was hopeful the new tenant would make a better impression, but I think that building space is doomed to host underwhelming restaurants.

We ordered Crab Rangoon and Chicken Satay for appetizers, which came out with poor plating presentation and a bit cold. I went with classic Chicken Pad Thai for my entree and asked for medium spice. Usually, medium at a Thai restaurant makes my nose run with all the flavorful goodness, but this was the blandest Pai Thai I have ever consumed as it was just a huge plate of boring noodles. Husband tried Pad See Ew, which he described as “passable” quality. Thai iced tea was yummy. Service was acceptable and we had no wait, which is definitely a plus on a Friday night on Mass Ave.

Overall? Just skip it. Head to Siam Square instead. I saved you a trip. You’re welcome.

  1. Love the pun. Sad to hear the food didn’t work out quality-wise.

  2. Any restaurant on a Friday night without a wait or a line is always a redflag😉
