Hi! I’m Lindsay. I’m a newlywed and live in a real life bungalow in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis. I’m also a licensed mental health therapist who recently decided to go back to school for my PhD in psychology. I like it, most days. But life is bigger than homework and fills all the cracks and crevices before, after, during, in-between, and in the middle, until it creeps up all around until work and life become mostly indistinguishable and revolve around questions and thoughts and relationships and ideas and ways of life. And then we’re here. And then we’re crafting and baking and cleaning and hoping and dreaming and laughing and planning and wishing and crying and praying and celebrating and loving and exploring Indianapolis and the world. And eating really good food. And that’s the bungalow.
I started out writing about faith, marriage, and graduate school, but I somehow ended up using my blog space as a format for my restaurant and recipe reviews. Husband and I were already visiting all the new places and had become the “go to” people to ask for restaurant recommendations, so I started writing down my thoughts after each visit and my blog has turned into a wonderful celebration of all the goodness of Indianapolis.
Welcome.

Broad Ripple! I LOVE it, and the Starbucks there! Do you know Richard Jones? He’s a counselor there and his office is in Broad Ripple. Congrats on being a newlywed–our 36th is coming up in a few days. It’s a great ride, so fasten your seatbelts. Glad to have found you, and new follow here.

Your blog really seems like home. I’m sure it does for you but that it does for me as well is a real testament to you. It instantly felt warm and cozy and comfortable. I loved the recipes I saw and plan to stop by again to try some of them out. I was even more pleasantly surprised that you are a mental health therapist – I am currently in school working towards that goal and so look forward to being where you are; making money doing what I love. From what little I know, how I instantly felt invited, you seem to have found your call.

Lindsay,
Thanks for liking my post. I clicked through to your blog and have been scrolling through your posts and About section. Your blog is exactly the kind of thing that the internet doesn’t have enough of – and something similar to what I’m trying to cultivate on my own blog. So glad to find someone who is approaching “lifestyle” blogging from a thoughtful, appreciative, reflective angle as well.
Glad to connect with you. I’ll be following along.
