Hi, friends,
I’m so excited to be getting back into the blogging grove! I already have MANY events planned for the next couple of weeks and am very excited about sharing them with you. I don’t post all events on the blog, so be sure to follow my Instagram for (almost) daily foodie updates. I’m telling you about The Big Fake Wedding in advance, though, since I will be going and maybe you will want to join me!
Have you heard about The Big Fake Wedding before? It’s a national bridal show that is set up like an actual wedding! So it’s a real venue and paper products and photographers and dresses and dance party! And it uses all local vendors that you can hire for your big day if you are impressed with their work! Each show has a unique color palette and theme for a cohesive, creative look. I am a little obsessed with weddings (the combo of getting to look at pretty things PLUS being madly in love all the time makes me unable to resist anything wedding related). I will be taking my newly-engaged cousin with me next week as a cover for my geeking out over chair arrangements, but I will mostly be focused on sampling all the cakes and trying to take home the flowers.
Here are the details:
545 KENTUCKY AVENUE
INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46225
You can buy tickets here. All tickets include a cocktail, apps, and a mystery swag bag. I’m very excited to see the vendors and their products in a real life setting instead of just awkwardly talking to them in line at a booth. I’m planning to collect wedding inspo for all future friend and family weddings, so I hope my Pinterest board can handle it. Also, shout out to Mariah at Mariah Krafft Photography for hooking me up with my tickets. She was chosen to be one of the photographers for the event, so you may want to check her out in advance to see if her style is right for your upcoming event!
Happy Wedding Planning and Cake Eating!
This is SO cool! I hope you have a blast! ❤

What a great idea! Having gone to one Bridal Fair ten years ago, I think my daughter and I left more confused than full of ideas. She did find her dress though. Over the last year I helped my eldest with her wedding from over 4000km away. I would have considered flying out for a ‘fake wedding’ but not a bridal fair. I discovered I make a great wedding planner!
