Tasting Tuesday: National Cheeseburger Day (with free burger info)

It’s Monday now, but it will be Tuesday tomorrow and not just any Tuesday, but National Cheeseburger Day Tuesday! There was a time a couple months ago when 80% of my Instagram feed seemed to be burgers and I had to intentionally try and share some different pictures just to prove that I knew other food existed. The thing about burgers is that 1. Everyone loves them. 2. You can get them everywhere. I legit live within walking distance of at least 5 burger joints. There’s the fast food burger and the diner burger and the hipster burger and the Impossible burger and all the other burgers in-between. However, I recently learned about a NEW (to me, at least) place to get burgers.

Did you know that Holiday Inn is opening restaurants now? Like in the hotel, but open to the public? I didn’t! Burger Theory is a cool concept from the hotel brand and is a way to serve both hungry overnight guests and the casual lunch visitor. We have one in Indianapolis at the Holiday Inn by the airport, which is convenient because people are ALWAYS asking me, “Where is a good place to grab lunch by the airport?” And I say “Nowhere!” because the airport is located too far away from any legit food. Until now.

Husband and I got to check out Burger Theory last night and it really surpassed my expectations. I completely forgot that I was in a hotel because it felt exactly like the cute burger stops in my Broad Ripple neighborhood, complete with a full bar and cute desserts in a jar. The menu had great options, like my “Farm Fresh” burger with mushrooms, red peppers, onions, and my favorite Boursin cheese. Husband ordered the “Breakfast Burger” with bacon and eggs piled high on top. And you can try one of their cheeseburgers TOMORROW because Burger Theory is giving away 10,000 free cheeseburgers at their locations across the nation (until supplies last and other fine print).
