Ever since I started my daily hour commute last fall, I’ve been enjoying my fair share of NPR’s podcasts. I had no idea such awesome material was out there! Serial? This American Life? Snap Judgment? SO AWESOME!! I’m so in love!! They all offer fascinating stories AND interesting advertising that include fun start-ups like MeUndies, Squarespace, and NatureBox. I practiced self-control for four whole months before caving in and signing-up for my first NatureBox.
For the uninitiated, NatureBox is a healthy snack subscription service that mails you five choices from their large cupboard of dietitian-approved options on a regular basis. You get sucked in with a 1/2 price first box and then it just keeps coming!
So, I took the bait. I went online and selected Pistachio Power Clusters, Kung Pao Pretzels, Honey Macadamia Pretzel Pops, Whole Wheat Chocolate Animal Cookies, and Lemon Tea Biscuits. Such a perfect blend of salty and sweet. 🙂
I was so excited for my box of all-natural treats to arrive and had the brilliant plan of taking a different one to class each day this week, but caved and ended up trying them all last weekend.
The result?? A bit “blah”.
Nothing bad, just nothing exciting. I don’t think I would ever crave any of the flavors to the point of requiring them on a monthly basis. I shared them with Husband and he agreed. Super boring. The most exciting part was getting a package delivered to my door. I canceled my subscription. If I’m in the mood for more natural, fun snacks, I’ll make a trip next door to the impeccable selection at The Fresh Market.
Has anyone else tried NatureBox or a food subscription service?
I have never heard of this! interesting!

Shame, a little disappointing, but at least you know now. I must say I have never heard of the Nature Box.
